Pear Tree Cottage is situated in the Blackdown Hills designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are in a very quiet rural location in the bottom comer of Somerset close to the Devon border. The hills are laced with narrow unspoilt roads and lanes with hedgerows abounding in natural flora and fauna. There are many footpaths and the area is ideal for the walker. Pear Tree Cottage with its traditional colourful border garden with croquet lawn, and kitchen garden, providing some seasonal vegetables, together with a newly developed arboretum - 3.5 acres overall - is in the middle of it.
