We have four private coarse fishing lakes. Home Lake is two minutes away and contains our wily "biggies". Common and Mirror Carp to double figures, Chub, Perch, Tench and Roach to 3 pound 8 ounces. There are also some elusive Carp up to 30 pounds in weight. July 2004 - Ray Francis caught his 26lb 8oz carp on video. Guess who was smiling! and Mrs Kilham was equally thrilled with her 3lb 4oz perch. "lots of Carp to 7 pounds. I'll be back for the big one" Phillip Upper and Lower Ram Lakes, our biggest at 2/3 acre also yield good bags of fish.

Marlpit Lake. Recently cleared and made more accessible this pretty tree lined lake, five minutes from the cottages, remains a surprise pot. A fisherman in May reported a 30-pound bag of mainly Carp.

Bait used includes Maggots, sweet corn, bread and tinned meats.
